Readers voted for the 2025 An Post Irish Book Awards in their thousands, joining a vast and passionate community of book creators, publishers, librarians and book buyers to recognise the very best of Irish writing talent in the 20th year of the awards.
The winners of the 2025 awards – in categories ranging from fiction to memoir, sports writing to history, and books for children and young adults – were announced at a ceremony in Dublin on 27th November, with authors including Roisín O’Donnell, Joseph O’Connor, Elaine Feeney and Andrea Mara taking home awards for their writing and illustration.
