At the start of 2022, we gave you the chance to win £500/€500 in cash.

Thousands of booklovers spent their National Book Tokens gift cards in the hundreds of bookshops that accept them across the UK and Ireland, and entered the prize draw.

WinnersCongratulations to the winners, Ola from Co. Kindare in Ireland, and Delyth from Gwynedd in Wales!

I used my National Book Token to buy 25 Challenges To Do Before You're 12: In Quest of Adventure for my 9-year-old daughter to keep her busy when she had to self-isolate in late January. She loves books so much that she has her own podcast called Lidia's Booktastic Podcast where she reviews children's books.

I bought the book in wonderful Woodbine Books, it's our favourite local independent bookshop, based in Kilcullen in Co. Kildare. It's one of those places you want to go back to, even just to browse or have a chat.

It's a wonderful prize, and totally unexpected! I think a portion of the prize will go towards the summer holidays fund, and the rest - well, you've guessed it, will probably be spent on books, and most likely in Woodbine's!

Don't forget, we have brilliant bookish competitions throughout the year over on our rewards programme, Caboodle – plus if you join, you're automatically entered into a prize draw each month, with a £100/€120 National Book Tokens prize!
