Congratulations to the winners... Haverfordwest High VC School!

Whether you work in a school or have school-aged children yourself, you’ll know the importance of a good school library – and not just for learning. Studies show that reading for pleasure doesn’t just give children an advantage academically; it can improve their wellbeing too.
Our annual competition gives you the chance to nominate a school to win our massive £5,000/€5,000 National Book Tokens prize to refresh their library for generations of children to come. The winning entrant also takes home £100/€120 of National Book Tokens just for them.
You voted in your thousands in our 2019 competition, but only one school could take home the grand prize. That school, as voted for by local parent Marion D., was Haverfordwest High VC School in Pembrokeshire, Wales!
This year's winners had a lovely surprise upon returning for the new term in September... £5,000 of National Book Tokens! Accepting their prize, they said:
"Such wonderful news! We are delighted to have won Book Tokens for our school Library. Knowing we have supportive parents who took the time to nominate us is wonderful and reaffirms the work we do to encourage a love of reading amongst our pupils.
We are very excited to purchase new books for the library. Thank you."
