Other sections in the shop include landscape/cityscape, music, general and translated fiction, Black Lives, politics, LGBT, feminism, social history, Jewish interest. Our children’s section is particularly strong on diversity. Our last Book Group of the year… The book might take forty minutes to read (it’s a neat, short hardback – a short story really) but can we fill an hour and a half with stimulating discussion on this small book. Betcha we can.

Our fiction book group is open to all. Attend every meeting, occasionally or just once a lifetime. All we ask is that you read the book in advance and take part in the discussion. There’s a short introduction by a member of staff or a group regular or someone we know with a special interest in the book in question.

Free, refreshments provided. We don’t mind where you source the book – libraries are good! – be we offer 15% discount on book group titles.

Charlie Baylis is from Nottingham, though currently living abroad. He is the Editor of Anthropocene and the Chief Editorial Advisor to Broken Sleep Books. His poetry has been nominated twice for the Pushcart Prize and once for the Forward Prize. His most recent publication is a fondness for the colour green, published June 2023. He spends his spare time completely adrift of reality, which matches the notion of a poetry reading on 28th December other than Charlie is home for Christmas!

As well as Charlie as the guest reader, there will be an open mic. Please book your slot or ask for details from dandelionspoetry@gmail.com not Five Leaves.
