Bookshop Description: (Est. 1970)

Scotland's Leading Independent Christian Bookshop- a Business Ministry of Gospel Literature Outreach, registered Scottish Charity SCO07355. Purchases help support our task of sharing Good News locally & globally. Mission The wider vision of GLO is to establish Church planting teams throughout Europe and to support them through Short Term mission trips. We are also committed to training and equipping Christians for mission and ministry so that they can effectively serve God and share their faith. Our training department is Tilsley College which offers a range of courses under its 'Training for Service' programme. The one year, accredited, residential course combines theological and biblical reflection with ministry practice. Our second year internship course enables students to continue with study while gaining practical experience in association with a local church. Part-time study is also possible through our Open Access courses and through the 'Joshua' evening classes. We work in partnership with other national GLO organisations throughout the world. More details of this work can be found on our main website www.glo-europe.org. Description The GLO Bookshop is part of the wider GLO ministry, and we specialise in resourcing churches and individuals. The Centre provides conferencing facilities and a coffee shop which provides a service to the local community. Surplus income from these Business Ministries is used to support the wider GLO ministry. We're grateful for the support of our staff and volunteers, who contribute greatly to the finance we provide to the wider work. Offer Details

We look forward to welcoming well-known speaker Sharon Garlough-Brown to the GLO Centre on Saturday 18th May. Best-selling author of the 'Sensible Shoes' series, Sharon recently relocated from the USA to Dundee and we're delighted she can join us in our GLO Bookshop 50th Anniversary celebrations! She will be sharing with us some encouragements from her own life and situation.

There will also be a book signing at the end of the event, and look out for special offers available on Sharon's books from The GLO Bookshop!

This will be a ticketed event - £5 per person.

The event will take place in the Tilsley Auditorium at the GLO Centre, Motherwell. Limited car parking is available at the GLO Centre and there is plenty of free parking in other local car parks. The rail station is just across the road from the GLO Centre and the bus stances are just a few minutes walk. If travelling by car, we suggest using the postcode ML1 1LP (Pollock Street, Motherwell) for your satnav.
