Bookshop Description

Situated in the heart of Aberfeldy, Perthshire, The Watermill is a unique combination of award-winning bookshop, gallery, cafè and design-led homeware, on three floors of a converted oatmeal mill.

The bookshop has the largest range of titles in the Scottish highlands. We won the award for UK Independent Bookshop of the Year in 2008-09.

Our book stock covers all subjects, including Scottish interest, walking & maps, children', fiction and non-fiction. Being an old mill, the bookshop is full of nooks and crannies and comfy chairs to sit and browse.

In summer our busy cafe spills out onto a terrace with lovely views to distant hills, while in winter a wood burning stove helps to create a warm atmosphere.

We are open seven days a week.
