World Book Day x Bookily

Help children find their reading superpower

World Book Day® is on Thursday 2nd March 2023. National Book Tokens is proud to be World Book Day's sponsor for 26 years and counting. The charity changes children's lives through encouraging a love of books and reading. World Book Day supports children to read for pleasure by encouraging six behaviours:

1. Being read to regularly
2. Having books at home and school
3. Finding time to read
4. Having trusted help to find a book
5. Giving children a choice in what to read
6. Making reading FUN!

To celebrate this year's World Book Day, one lucky reader will win a set of 12 World Book Day books and a 12-month Bookily card loaded with £10 per month, giving children the choice of a new book every month. Winners in Ireland will receive a €120 National Book Tokens gift card.

Because Bookily is a monthly National Book Token, it can be used in hundreds of bookshops – from Waterstones and WHSmith to all good independents – and online.

4 runners-up will receive a set of World Book Day books and 3-month Bookily card (or a €30 National Book Token if in Ireland).

Every year World Book Day distribute over 15 million £1/1.50 book tokens for children and young people to swap for one of these brilliant books for FREE or £1/€1.€50 off another book (worth £2.99/€3.99 or more). Find out more about the books.
