Meet at the Explore Library in York at 1.30 pm to visit lots of York’s Indy bookshops. Walk through the pages of York’s literary past on this free guided tour exploring the city's rich history of writing, printing, publishing, bookselling, and libraries. From medieval scriptoria to Victorian printing presses, York has long been a city of words & ideas. We’ll uncover the stories behind the bookshops, binders, printers, & public libraries that shaped York’s literary landscape over the centuries.
