The Noose of Samuel Burrows with Author Nick Kevern

Sat 25 Oct 6-7.30. In 1835, Samuel Burrows was slowly dying at his Brook Street home, with just one visitor in his final week. For the first time, his life is fully explored by social historian Nick, from his days as a butcher at the shambles in Northgate Street to his many executions above the gatehouse of New City Gaol. Nick will reveal more about Burrows' life at this talk. You will be able to get copies of the book and bottles of Burrows Noose, an English Pale Ale brewed by Weetwood Ales.
