sat 22 nov, 2-2.30. Lea is a former teacher based in Wirral who has been writing poetry since his student days. Now retired, he has done a stint of voluntary work in Nigeria as a teacher-trainer and also taught English as a Foreign Language in Poland, Greece and El Salvador. He has recently been a member of a team of volunteer teachers working with refugees and asylum seekers on Merseyside. His trilogy ‘Ripples Over the Mersey’ is a collection of poems and reflections on the Merseyside region.
