Bookshop Description: (Est. 2012)

A specialist children's bookshop and events space, now with a weekly theatre programme too. The emphasis is on interactive book based events for children and young people. Pickled Pepper Books was established by parents Steven Pryse and Urmi Merchant in 2012, providing a family friendly environment in which to experience the tactile nature of choosing books for and with kids. In September 2021 we opened a pop up at the Culture Palace in Enfield Town. This is a wonderful community arts space where we collaborate with The Dugdale Theatre, Enfood Cafe & The Museum of Enfield. Our managers, Tara Pahari and Freddie Ruddock both programme children's book based events, theatre, workshops and storytimes in each respective shop. Check out our events pages for more information.
