Has your National Book Tokens gift card expired?
National Book Tokens gift cards expire if they are unused for a period of 24 months. (Please note, this does not apply to National Book Tokens paper gift vouchers which do not expire and are valid indefinitely.)
However, we will happily replace your expired gift card with a brand new one, and you will have a further 2 years in which to spend it.
All you need to do is:
1) email our customer service team on egiftcard@booktokens.co.uk
2) please provide your expired card number so we can check the balance at the time of expiry and confirm this back to you
We can then send you a returns form to complete and post back to us with the gift card. We will then block the gift card and issue you with a new one.
Why do National Book Tokens Gift Cards Expire?
The National Book Tokens Terms and Conditions: "If the card is not used for a period of 24 consecutive months, the card will automatically expire and any remaining value will be deducted ("Use" for the purposes of this term includes balance enquiries)".
We are sorry for any inconvenience that expiry may cause. It is designed to ensure that empty and lost or discarded gift cards (often with only a few pence on them) do not remain 'live' on our system for years, as this would slow it up.
